We also passed by a small Maya town.It looked very Mexico.After lunch, we got to Chichen Itza.We had a great tour guide.He knows every part of the history of Maya culture and showed the history, architecture and culture to us with his passion.We walked around the big temple (also called the big calendar) which was finished in the 10th century.There were also a lot of temples under ground which are not recovered yet.In the Maya calendar, there were 20 months a year, and 18 days each month.There are four seasons, so there are 4 sides of the temple.On each side, there are 91 steps which represented 91 days each season.91 times 4, it’s 364.Plus the top platform, there are total 365, representing 365 days for a year.That’s so amazing!
